Here are some nice things people have said about us

Please pass on our very best wishes and many thanks to the "Boys in the Band" for a great evening.  Everything went perfectly and the contribution of Alter Ego to a highly successful celebration bash was significant.
Your pacing of the evening and choice (and performance) of the music was spot on.  We had many comments from friends about how much they enjoyed the band.  Hope you enjoyed playing for us as much as we enjoyed listening and dancing to you.  Success to you and lots of gigs in the future.
Shirley and Phil Allen.

Thank you for the fab music.  A great night!  Thanks to Caroline aswell. XX

Thanx to you and the band for great night we have had lots of feedback about how good the band was! Might see you on April 12th! Thankyou to the guys for all of Terry.s favourites and for learning "Have I told you lately". Hope you may get some more bookings from the night,

John Bromley ‎"Brilliant" ? That's an understatement Barry. The band gets better and better all the time. We had a great night.

Dear Caroline,

Hi

Seriously all thanks go to the band.  Alter Ego really made the evening for everyone.  Absolutely every guest commented on what a great band you are, the numbers you played, the excellent musicianship and your great rapport with the crowd.  Can't thank you enough for just making our party really take off.  Colin and I were just delighted to see the dance floor we hired was too small for the numbers wanting to dance.  Really hope to get the chance to attend another of your gigs in the near future.

Love Jane

Dear Alter Ego

Re: My 50th Birthday Celebration 18th April 2009
Sorry this has been some time coming but I just wanted to thank you all so much for such a fantastic performance to help celebrate my 50th birthday.
I have received many comments and thanks for the wonderful evening that was had by everyone and I just wanted to pass my thanks onto you all.
I felt the whole evening was a very enjoyable and successful one and I managed to raise over £1,500.00 to help St Catherine’s Hospice which they were very pleased to receive.

Many thanks again to you all and I wish you continued success with Alter Ego.
Yours faithfully
Jim Vowels

FEBRUARY 16TH 2013:    Martin Lyons to Barry:  It sure was a good evening last night, I don't think i have ever been to a gig where there has been so much physical audience participation, especially from the younger elements! I think it may have served to bridge the ''generation gap'' that our parents used as an excuse when they didn't get the music we were listening to.
Ian Nicoll: It was a great night and the band was superb and the atmosphere was spot on.

Linda Nicoll: Wow what a fantastic evening, well done to 'Alter Ego', I love the new songs.

A REVIEW OF THE BAND ON 'HORSHAM ROCKS' FROM SATURDAY 27TH APRIL 2013:

I'd been meaning to check these guys out for months and finally got round to it!  Having seen Steve the guitarist before at a local open mic, I knew the standard would be high and wasn't disappointed.

Great vocal harmonies is what set this band apart in my view.  Solid guitarists Steve and Jon shared lead vocal duties pretty much equally across both sets, each supporting the other with regular tight harmonies while hard working bassist Keith provided the occasional but always satisfying third harmony where necessary.  All abley supported by Barry on the drums.

They delivered two truly eclectic crowd pleasing sets including songs from Squeeze, Crowded House, Eric Clapton, The Who, Tom Petty, the Rolling Stones, Madness, The Dandy Warhols, T-Rex and Stevie Wonder to name a few.  Such is their musical skill, they even got away with impressive takes on previously dismissed as dismal (by me!) songs by Take That and, erm, Michael Buble?!

There can be no doubting that these guys are a top drawer local covers band as the all singing and dancing Malt Shovel crowd will surely attest.   Must see!

Saturday 31st August 2013:  'Alter Ego' played at my 50th Birthday bash and the guests loved the sound, the playlist and the energy. The Band even let one guest join in with his harmonica unrehearsed and without notice. Their flexible attidude and upbeat approach made sure the event had a great party atmosphere with plenty of dancing-    Guy
